I can't help watching your lips— I try to resist, to look anywhere else, but when I catch you staring at mine, it feels like an invitation I never expected. Why do you look at me that way? It sends something bold through me, something I've tried to bury. Years of bickering, of circling each other, and suddenly it hits me— you want me. And somehow, I want you too. Who's supposed to make the first move? You, closing the space between us, or me, finally giving in? Your hands finds my wrist, pressing it gently beside my head, your body close enough that the heat between us become its own language. Then slowly, your fingers slide along my palm, soft, coaxing, almost teasing— and before I realize it, your hand settles into mine. Our fingers lock, and when your eyes meet mine, I know we're both seconds from losing control. Our wrists touch, your pulse quick under my skin— I can't tell if it's because of me, or because you're scared of what happens if we finally cross this line. We've always walked a tight edge, caught between wanting and not trusting, and maybe that's why the pull between us cuts so deep— two sides of the same blade, dangerous, sharp, and impossible to drop. I don't know if you'll ruin me or remake me. Bur right now, with your fingers tangled in mine, I want to find out what happens, if neither of us looks away.

im blushinnnggg whaaaat, you ABSOLUTELY CAN write romantically, it takes work ngl, this one took a few weeks because I struggle writing “love” poems but i love the challenge! no one is born with the talent to write like this, you can totally do it and i’ll even say it should be pretty easy for you considering the quality of your work!!
oh damn right it is awkward, but try to go past the awkward and focus on the potential of the piece, read your draft with fresh eyes and perhaps see if the awkwardness you feel is due to you not being able to express a precise feeling, or situation as well as you would have liked, if it’s this, then after many revisions it will stop being awkward, but if ofc after revisions your draft still irks you then try again it’s okay!! but if writing romantic poems is something you would like to do, even if it’s awkward, don’t hold back from drafting cus it lets you express yourself even imperfectly! and, you can always comeback months, even years later and try again with the ideas you would have put on paper!!
