There is a softness in the way you move, a gleam that stirs me long before you reach me. Sometimes your presence finds my body before your hands even dare to. Your lips pour liquid gold, and the moment they meet mine, fever ignites. Then you vanish behind clouds denying me your gaze, and the void sears just as sharply. My body turns to desert; thirsting, quivering, undone— for the delicious tremors you leave blooming beneath my skin, for the fire you press into me as insistently as the sun claims the earth. I peer through the window, cast a glance over my shoulder, unable to tell where your blaze ends or the sun begins. If loving leads me to ash, let it be because I burned for you too fiercely.
